1 · Where is Arca Located?

Arca is situated directly on West Bay Beach in Roatan, Honduras. To reach Arca from the main road, simply turn onto Bananarama Beach Road leading towards the ocean. Make a right onto the road immediately after Bananarama's reception, and when you reach the road's end, you'll step into the oasis that is Arca!

2 · What transportation options are there to Arca?

We highly suggest allowing Arca to book transport for you to make your trip here seamless. We are happy to assist you in coordinating transportation through a local, third party company on the island that is used by many nice hotels throughout the island. 

Please be sure to let us know your flight number, date of arrival, and number of people in advance to use this service. A fee of $45 for six people for this service will be conveniently added to your bill. Additionally, please feel free to communicate with your driver if you have any specific stops or errands you'd like to make before arriving at Arca. 

Should you prefer to arrange your own transportation, you have a couple of options. You can take a taxi or a shuttle from the airport or ferry to reach West Bay. Typically, prices for these options start at around $35, but we recommend discussing the fare directly with your driver for greater clarity.

3 · What do we need to travel to Honduras?

For entry into Roatan, you must have a passport with an expiration date at least 6 months away. US and Canadian citizens do not require a visa to enter Honduras. However, please verify the visa requirements for all your trip's destinations in your home country.

 As of now, there are no Covid-19 restrictions in place.

4 · What is your cancellation policy?

Please note, that reservations made on platforms external to our website are subject to their policies. If you booked via a third party you must contact that booking site for any alterations and or cancellations.

Direct reservations have the following cancellation policy:  
A 50% deposit is required to secure your room. 

42 days or more before the day of check-in: Travelers are eligible for a refund minus the 2.9% credit card processing fee. 
21 days-42 days before the day of check-in: No refunds will be issued, A credit of the 50% deposit can be used for up to 6 months from the original date of check-in. 14-20 days before check-in: Guests are charged 100% of the booking amount. If a guest needs to rebook, the booking amount can be used for up to 6 from the original date of check-in.
0-14 before check-in: Guests are charged 100% of the booking amount. No credits, alterations, or refunds will be issued. If the guest fails to arrive on the scheduled check-in date the reservation will be considered a “no-show” and NO refunds or credit will be given and the reservation will be cancelled.Cards on file can be charged 100% of the booking total 20 days before arrival.
Credits are issued in dollar amounts and are only valid for accommodations. Rates are subject to change and availability is not guaranteed. 
Modifications and credits will only be allowed once per reservation and are only valid for direct reservations through arcaroatan.com. 
If you choose to abandon your reservation early you will be charged the entire booking amount. Full payment is collected upon check-in. 

Arca is not responsible for travel interruptions, incorrectly booked dates, illnesses, or changes in plans. It is highly suggested to purchase quality travel insurance to cover any unexpected events and ensure a stress-free vacation.


5 · When is check-in and check-out?

You may check in between 3pm and 9pm. Check out must be completed by 11am. 

6 · Do you allow smoking on the property?

Smoking is only allowed in designated areas and prohibited in the rooms and on the balconies and terraces. 

7 · Do you have onsite parking?

No, paid public parking is located just behind Arca if you chose to rent a car.

8 · Is Arca an adults only hotel?

Beginning December 21, 2023, Arca will be delighted to welcome reservations exclusively for children aged 12 and older. For reservations made prior to this date, there are no changes, and we look forward to providing a wonderful experience for all our guests.

9 · If I booked on a website other than the hotels website and I need to make a change who do I contact?

If you booked with a third party please contact the booking agent you used for assistance with your alterations. 

10 · What are Arcas dining options?

Arca currently includes a made-to-order breakfast with each stay. Following breakfast, we offer a light menu featuring approximately 8 different dishes that you can enjoy throughout the day and into the evening. Please note that while breakfast is included in your stay, all other items are a la carte but can be seamlessly added to your room. 

11 · What if there is a power outage?

While Roatan's electric company is generally stable, occasional outages can occur. To ensure uninterrupted service, Arca is equipped with a generator capable of powering the entire resort during such events.

12 · What if I get sick while visiting?

Arca has joined forces with a nearby clinic, just a short distance away. In case you or your travel companion feels under the weather, our partnership allows us to promptly reach out to experienced physicians at this clinic. Furthermore, if you're dealing with dehydration from diving or sun exposure, we're here to arrange on-site IV rehydration therapy for your convenience and well-being.
