Crafted For Genuine Connection

Meet Arca

A Legacy Reimagined

Our Origin Story

When Arca opened her doors in December 2023, it marked not just a reopening, but the unveiling of a new vision deeply attuned to Roatan’s soul. As one of West Bay Beach’s original establishments, the transformation from Island Pearl into Arca reflects a dedication to offering a sophisticated yet mindful experience – preserving the island’s heritage while inviting guests to share in its beauty.

Guided by a family devoted to the island through educational non-profit work, Arca embodies a present vision of conscious connection. Seeking to create an experience that’s intimate and intentional; a refuge designed to uplift visitors and the Roatan community alike.

Our guests may come from every walk of life, but there is one thing they all share upon arrival: a sense of belonging.

Behind the Experience

From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice what makes Arca Roatan truly special: our personal touch. Behind every memorable experience at Arca is a team of passionate individuals dedicated to your comfort and enjoyment.

Preserving Paradise

where intention meets impact.

At Arca, we hold a profound respect for Roatan’s natural beauty and are unwavering in our commitment to preserving its rich resources. To fulfill our mission of delivering an awe-inspiring, eco-conscious experience, we have implemented a range of sustainable practices designed to minimize our environmental impact and enhance your stay.

Our Sustainable Practices:

  • Installation of water bottle filling stations to reduce plastic waste.
  • Implemented a linen and towel reuse program that conserves water and energy.
  • Installed energy-efficient lighting, cooling, and water systems, ensuring that comfort and sustainability go hand in hand.
  • Eliminated single-use straws and food containers, opting for eco-friendly alternatives.
  • We only work with or recommend tour operators who demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability for the island and prioritize safety in their activities.

Ways You Can Help:

  • Bring reusable water bottles.
  • Use reef-safe sunscreen and bug sprays.
  • Turn off all lights and air conditioning units when not in the room.
  • Contribute to local conservation efforts, such as the Roatan Marine Park.
  • Select sustainable seafood options when dining out.
  • Do not touch or remove anything from the reef – including purchasing conch shells or dried seahorses as souvenirs.
  • Sponsor a child’s education or bring down items for donation.

From marine adventures to cultural immersions, we offer experiences that honor and protect the island’s natural wonders.
