Do you have a generator?
Living in paradise sometimes means embracing limited resources, and occasional power outages are a part of island life. To keep things running smoothly, Arca has a reliable generator that powers the entire resort, so you can stay connected and comfortable, no matter what.
What are my hotel dining options?
There’s no need to venture far for unforgettable dining. Our on-site restaurant, Ahari, is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM; serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a bohemian Afro-Caribbean setting. Catering to all dietary preferences and restrictions, our à la carte menu includes fresh local fish, salads, steaks, pasta, and more. Please note, meals are charged separately and not included in the room rate.
What currency can I use on the Island?
Both U.S. dollars and Honduran lempiras are widely accepted on the island, but please note that U.S. bills must be free from any damage – including small rips and tears. While some vendors accept credit cards, not all do, so it’s best to bring enough cash for your stay. ATMs are available for withdrawing local currency, as there is no formal currency exchange on the island.
When is the best time to visit Roatan?
Roatan is a year-round destination, with each season offering its own unique appeal. The dryer season, from April to August, brings warm, sunlit days and calm seas. Rainier days mark the high season, between September and March, which is vital for the island’s lush greenery.
What are the Honduran entry requirements?
For entry into Roatan, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. U.S. and Canadian citizens do not need a visa to enter Honduras; however, we recommend verifying entry requirements for all destinations on your itinerary.
In some cases, airport agents may ask guests to complete a customs declaration form online. For your convenience, we will send this form to you via email prior to both arrival and departure.
What happens if I get sick?
Arca has partnered with a nearby clinic, ensuring that experienced physicians are just moments away if you or your travel companions need care. For those feeling dehydrated from diving or sun exposure, we can conveniently arrange on-site IV rehydration therapy. We also highly recommend purchasing quality travel insurance to cover any unexpected medical expenses or interruptions, allowing you to enjoy peace of mind throughout your stay.
